The ethos of Funky Toto is to produce unique, quality, handmade British children’s garments at an affordable price. All our clothes are designed by the owner Suzanne Purssell, then handmade in Leicester and then hand finished by Suzanne.

The appliqué design on the front of the jersey pieces mean that each garment is unique. The production run is small to retain exclusivity but the prices remain affordable.

Funky Toto began life as a hobby after I had my second child and was looking for an outlet for my creativity, having been a graphic designer in a former life, which I could combine with being a mum.

I began making a couple of T-shirts for my children which friends saw and asked me to make some for their children.

Move on 6 months and we have just finished our second collection, where the range for ages 2 to 7 years included skirts, dresses, tunic and leggings sets, vests, shorts and of course T-shirts.

The two collections each year, are designed to be co-ordinated across the colour-ways meaning that you can mix and match the garments to make several different outfits, complete with accessories that would work equally with each outfit.

We believe that this, coupled with the continued use of the same fabric across both the garments and appliqués makes us unique from other children’s retailers.
