The sun is shinning, the Surf's up and everybody's going board crazy on the glorious beaches of North Devon, the UK top surfing destination. Don’t worry though if you haven’t got a beach near you because North Devon is bringing the Surf Challenge to two of the UK’s top cities and “City Slickers” will be urged to ride the waves.

The challenge will be to get out of the office, have your “Board” meeting in the sun, and discover one of the reasons North Devon is the hottest holiday destination in 2009.

North Devon can export most things but not our beaches so instead we will be bringing the surf to the city. Brush Boarding, invented in Devon to satisfy the desires of the surfers when the waves were flat is a hugely fun board sport. Different riders use varying board shapes when Brush Boarding and we will be giving our city friends the opportunity to have their next board meeting outside their offices. North Devon+, is one of the partners in this innovative promotional idea and are looking forward to sharing some of the magic of North Devon. The event will be an interactive day full of fun and there will be no charge for having a go at Brush Boarding. You don’t have to have a go; you can just come along and watch the fun and there will be lots of give-a-way gifts and a information marquee distributing information on everything you want to know about Xtreme sports in North Devon.
