Cadbury teams up with the National Trust to offer families a cracking Easter weekend


It’s almost that time of the year again when Cadbury teams up with the National Trust to offer families the ultimate day out with their popular Easter Egg Hunts.

This year, the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt (25 – 28 March*) will be inviting families to unleash their inner explorer with adventurous quests taking place across the country.

From spring woodlands and craggy coastlines, to historic houses and enchanting castles, there are over 250 Cadbury Easter Egg Hunts to choose from across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, guaranteeing a fun-filled Easter for everyone.

What’s more, everyone will be rewarded with a delicious Cadbury chocolate treat at the end of each completed hunt, and every single Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt will help support special places looked after by the National Trust for future generations to explore.

Mottisfont, Hampshire

Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt, 25 March – 10 April, 10am – 5pm

Ancient trees, bubbling brooks and rolling lawns frame this lovely house. Crafted from a medieval priory, it is full of surprises, both inside and out. Pick up an Easter hunt sheet, full of brain teasers and craft activities. Follow the trail to discover giant eggs hidden around the grounds, and complete challenges with your family to earn a delicious Cadbury treat.

At the end of the Northern Line deep in the heart of sprawling south London, you can step off the train and hop into the countryside at Morden Hall Park. How Europe Saw the World

Over 400 years ago vivid visual and written descriptions of pioneering voyages to the Americas, Africa, India and the Far East reached Europe in the form of finely detailed copperplate engravings. This exhibition presents the alluring images of Flemish engraver Theodore de Bry, amongst the earliest ever published. Between 1590 and 1602 de Bry illustrated the diverse customs and people who lived in distant lands, including their nautical traditions.

Up in the heights of Tower 42, Jason Atherton’s City Social has been coming up with some inventive ways of serving its cocktails in time for Easter. The first pitcher cocktail on the bar’s menu, the ‘Duckanter,’ is a beautifully crafted duck-shaped crystal decanter inspired by the Aylesbury Duck vodka that is mixed with St Germain, rhubarb grenadine, sugar syrup, lemon and apple juices to create the sweet concoction served within. A playful nod to the theme of birds at Easter, ‘Duckanter’ also contains enough servings for four to five glasses, making it ideal for group celebrations.

Chocolate and wine pairing at Social Wine & Tapas
Calling on the expertise of Executive Sommelier, Laure Patry, this Easter Jason Atherton’s Social Wine & Tapas will be offering a wine flight especially designed to be paired with chocolate.  Comprising three different glasses from the restaurant’s extensive wine list, the flight offers varying notes on the palate, from fruity to spiced, all perfectly paired to a dessert of hot chocolate moelleux and Tonka bean ice cream created by Head Chef, Frankie Van Loo. Priced at £33.50 for the wine flight and £8 for the moelleux, the pairing will be available throughout the Easter period.

Flesh & Buns serves Easter Monday brunch
Usually only available on Sundays, Japanese DIY gua bao restaurant, Flesh & Buns, will be serving up its ever-popular brunch offering on Easter Monday this year. The restaurant offers two bottomless brunch menus priced at £39 and £46, both including a welcome cocktail on arrival and bottomless prosecco, a selection of small dishes to start and a choice of gua bao bun fillings for the main offering. Of particular note for chocoholics this Easter is Flesh & Buns signature s’mores served with chocolate fondant, available for dessert as part of the £46 option and the perfect way to end a delicious Japanese Easter Monday brunch.

Priced at £9.50, the Knickerbocker is a heaven-sent way to indulge this Easter.

Celebrate Easter at Plateau
Celebrate Easter and the first long bank holiday of 2016 with delicious set menus and unlimited prosecco at Canary Wharf favourite, Plateau.
