Margaret Amelia Grose first opened the hotel to accommodate golfers visiting the area and now her great, great grandson, Matthew Grose is the Managing Director and the fifth generation of this family dynasty.

Situated in the picturesque village of Thurlestone, the hotel has stunning panoramic views out over the Devon coastline and across the bay to Thurlestone Rock. It is within walking distance of the South West Coastal Path and a selection of sandy beaches that are ideal for swimming, exploring rock pools and building sandcastles – the hotel will even supply the bucket and spade!
